5:00pm - THE HORSE MOUNTAIN DERBY | You best be dressed

As the sun begins to dip and the kids drift off, it’s time for the rest of us to shine — or gallop. At 5pm, something strange and spectacular will unfold. We call it the Derby, but it’s not what you think. You won’t know exactly what’s coming until it begins — and that’s part of the magic. Just know it involves style, pageantry, and a touch of glorious chaos. Come dressed. Come loud. Come ready.

Book the babysitter. Bring your best strut. The race is nonsense. The fashion is serious.

IF YOU WANT TO RACE IN THE DERBY, MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP WHEN YOU RSVP.

Check the theme section for inspiration!

LoSax rides in with the interstellar hyperspace live saxophone, elevating the vibes worthy of a champion's circle.

7:00pm & 9:00PMDeeJay Theory (TWO SETS)

Raised on a steady stream of reggae and rave, Deejay Theory is the thoroughbred at the forefront of the global “tropical bass” movement. Navigating island music with a hip-hop and electronic compass, Theory has anchored his place as a top-ranking selector and seasoned producer with a treasure trove of remixes, mixtapes, and legendary bootlegs spanning dancehall to disco. A veteran jockey of Horse Mountain Fest, Theory always brings the heat!

10:00pm — Bonfire + Acoustic Jam Session

After galloping , we head to the bonfire for a magical acoustic jam session! Bring your acoustic instruments and join in the fireside fun. Whether you're strumming a tune or just soaking in the melodies, it's the perfect way to wind down and share the rhythm of the night.

HORSE MOUNTAIN DERBY

Welcome to Horse Mountain Fest,
Where elegance gallops and weirdness is dressed.
Part Kentucky Derby, part fever dream,
A parade of glamour in technicolor gleam.

Don your wildest, wondrous best —
Towering hats, brocade vests.
Tuxedos made of mirrors and light,
Ballgowns blooming with butterflies in flight.

Saddle up as the unexpected:
Floral centaurs, velvet-clad jesters,
Garden nymphs with mint leaves in their curls,
Spectral jockeys from invisible worlds.

It’s a costume garden party turned cosmic derby.
A swirling dance of absurd pageantry.
The lawn is your runway. The pond, your portal.
Dress boldly. Trot weirdly. Reign fabulously.

Is this a private event?

Yes. If you are seeing this page you have been invited by the hosts or a friend of theirs. This is not a public event.

Can i invite others?

Please ask us. One of the most beautiful things about Horse Mountain Fest is the vibe that is created. We do this by making sure everyone who comes shares a common energy and vibe. One of love, sharing, care and appreciation for one another.

DOES IT COST ANYTHING?

No… other than the food truck purchases or sunday catered food. All we ask is you bring your good vibes.

Where is it?

Well, if you know, you know. If you don’t… well we’ll email those who have RSVP’d closer to the event.

IS there alcohol for purchase?

Nope, this is a BYOB event. We will have some beer and wine, but if you want to drink responsibly, then bring your own.

Where do we park?

We will send out that information, but there is limited parking, so if you can carpool, please do!

Why does the music end so early?

We try to be responsible neighbors so we don’t like keeping them up real late. We also ask that you respect our neighbors when you park and return to your cars.

Why is this called horse mountain fest?

Well, it’s on Horse Mountain silly pants.

Do I have to wear a costume on Saturday Night?

Well. you don’t have to… but like, you’ll probably be the only one not wearing a costume.

A Quick Note About Dance Floor Flow 💃🕺

We can't wait to gallop with all of you on the dance floor!

We request to help keep the space feeling open and inviting to all styles:
If you’re practicing contact improv or dancing in a way that takes up a lot of room, please consider moving toward the back or edges of the dance floor.

Thank you for co-creating a vibrant, shared experience.
